10th Anniversary of Upromise

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of UPromise for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Ten years ago, I worked for a local grocery chain who got behind the UPromise program.  UPromise is a program where families can earn rewards to help pay for college for their kids.  You simply enroll in the program, do business with their participating companies, and you earn rewards that can be used to invest in a high yield savings account, a 529 plan, or to pay off student loans or get funds to pay for college expenses.

Now, the folks at UPromise are celebrating their 10th anniversary, and they would like you to celebrate with them.  UPromise is giving away $20000 to users who share how they have helped to support their child's dream.  You can go to www.upromisetodream.com  to share your story.  By submitting your story, you are entered into the sweepstakes.  You can also vote for your favorite stories.  There will be 10 winners of $1000 and a grand prize winner of $10000.

I went to the site and shared my dreams for my son.  It is funny how dreams change over the years.  When my child was born 17 years ago, I dreamed that he would share my love for learning and would want to go to college.  Now, with his autism, it is apparent that dream will not come to pass.  Now, my hopes and dreams are that he will develop enough that he can become self sufficient.

If you are a parent or grandparent of a child, I encourage you to share your story.  Tell your friends and neighbors about the contest and encourage them to share their stories as well.  If you are lucky, maybe you can be one of the winners.  It can help to make those dreams come true.  Make sure to check out the dream wall official rules  before entering.  Congratulations to Upromise for 10 years of making dreams come true.
