Washington Nationals Home Opener

There were two things that I learned from the Washington Nationals home opener yesterday.  First; with the Nationals losing 11-1 the season is off to a rousing start.  Their poor spring training has flowed right into the start of the regular season.  Sure it is a long season, but a blowout to start the season isn't encouraging.

The second thing that I learned, as you can see in the ceremonial first pitch below, is that Barack Obama hasn't been working on his arm during his time in office.

Compare that with his pitch in the 2009 All Star Game.

And just for old time sake, here is an example of what a ceremonial first pitch should look like.

He's been kind of busy. He had that whole Republican mess to clean up. (Which he is still working on, by the way.)
