Two Trillion Bucks
My brother in law sent this to me this morning. Yes, my sister is married to a proud right wing extremist. I think this song pretty much sums things up.
Cute video. It's ironic that the right would embrace a rendition of this song. The original song is about how the hard-working common man was kept in poverty by corporations in a more pure capitalistic time. Socialistic ideals like unions and government protection finally came to the aid of the mine workers, including government assistance that brought health care to the mine workers. I bet Tennessee Ernie Ford is rolling over in his grave at the bastardization of this song.
